What Is Prompt Agent?

Prompt Agent is the AI enhancement feature in Oh My Prompt. It combines a short description with a professional template to generate a complete, detailed prompt automatically.

Core value: You describe what you want, and Prompt Agent determines how to express it.

Template Categories

Prompt Agent provides six professional templates. Each includes relevant style keywords and specialized language.

E-commerce

For e-commerce product presentations, with an emphasis on the product and a commercial look.

How to Use Prompt Agent

1. Select a Template

On the Agent tab in the side panel, select the template category that matches your goal.

2. Enter a Description

Describe the image you want to generate. The description can be simple, for example:

  • “A product image of a smartwatch”
  • “A futuristic AI poster”
  • “A fairy-tale forest illustration”

Prompt Agent automatically adds professional details about composition, lighting, and other elements.

3. Upload a Reference Image (Optional)

You can upload a reference image. Prompt Agent analyzes its style and incorporates it into the generated prompt.

Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WebP

Size limit: 5 MB

4. Generate a Prompt

Click Generate. Prompt Agent calls the AI model and generates a complete prompt.

5. Use the Prompt

  • Copy: Click Copy and paste the prompt directly into an AI image-generation platform
  • Save to library: Click Save to add the prompt to your prompt library

What Do I Need?

Prompt Agent requires an AI service to generate prompts. You need to:

  • Sign in to your account to use the official service
  • Or configure a third-party API with your own API key

Where Do I Configure It?

Open the extension side panel → click the Settings icon at the bottom → select the My Account tab.

Under API Configuration, you can:

  • Use the official service (sign-in required)
  • Configure a third-party API by clicking Third-Party API Configuration

Option 1: Use the Official Service (Recommended)

Benefits

  • No API key configuration
  • A specialized model with strong results
  • Available immediately after signing in

Steps

  1. Click Sign In on the My Account page
  2. After signing in, the official service card displays Professional Model
  3. Click the activation button (✓ icon)
  4. You can use the service when Active appears

Note: The official service requires a Pro or Team subscription. Free users must upgrade.

Option 2: Configure a Third-Party API

If you have an API key, you can configure a third-party provider.

Open the Configuration Dialog

Click Third-Party API Configuration to open the configuration dialog.

Quick Configuration (Recommended)

The dialog opens on the Quick Configuration tab by default:

Step 1: Select a provider The menu groups providers by type:

  • Chinese providers: Zhipu Qingyan, Alibaba Cloud Model Studio, Kimi, Xiaomi MiMo, Volcengine Ark
  • International APIs: Anthropic Claude, OpenAI
  • Aggregator: OpenRouter

Step 2: Select a model After selecting a provider, choose from its supported models.

Step 3: Enter an API key

  • Paste your key into the API Key field
  • Click Get API Key to open the provider's official website

Step 4: Save Click Save Configuration.

Custom Configuration

If your provider is not listed, open the Custom Configuration tab and enter:

  • Configuration name: A name of your choice
  • API format: Anthropic or OpenAI format
  • API URL: The provider endpoint (HTTPS required)
  • Model name: The model ID
  • API Key: Your key

Switching Configurations

You can save multiple API configurations and switch at any time:

  • Click the activation button (✓) on a configuration card to switch
  • The active configuration is used for all Prompt Agent generations

Use Prompt Agent on a Platform Page

In addition to the side panel, you can use Prompt Agent directly on supported platforms such as Lovart and ChatGPT:

  1. Click the drop-down button beside the input field
  2. Switch to Agent mode
  3. Select a template and enter a description
  4. The generated prompt is inserted into the input field automatically
